PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The expansion project is a 95,000 square foot, four story building that is connected to the emergency department with 58 medical surgery beds, three operating rooms, a pharmacy and lab space. CMS worked with the engineer and mechanical contractor to provide Haakon penthouse air handling units to meet strict hospital-grade criteria. This includes high quality construction and materials, high efficiency filtration, humidification, and integral access corridors. The air handling units are designed for long useful life, ease of maintenance and service, and energy efficiency. Construction details include fully welded aluminum floors, stainless steel construction in wet areas, direct drive plenum fans and motor removal rails.
