PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The 78,000 square foot Nanoengineering & Sciences Building is the second phase of a certified LEED Gold 168,000 square foot building on the University of Washington campus. The first phase was the Molecular Engineering & Sciences Building, a 90,000 square foot facility completed in 2012, which also includes air handling units, chillers, and a heat recovery chiller from Custom Mechanical Solutions. UW Nanoengineering includes new custom Haakon penthouse-style air handling units, custom Haakon exhaust air heat recovery units with bag-in/bag-out filters, York variable speed air-cooled chillers, and a Multistack dedicated heat recovery chiller.
